Yes! It's back for the second year. Bigger, Better and more awards for all.
This year The Wirral International Film Festival has expanded to include all our other twin cities around the world which are Midland Texas U.S.A, Lorient in France, Gennevilliers in France and Latina Province in Italy.
Last November, film-makers and film-goers descended on Birkenhead's Queens Hotel for a celebration of movies, with contributions flying in from across Wirral and even as far away as Latina in Italy.
This year we have decided to run the Fesival over six days, rather than four, with earlier starting times to squeeze as much content in as possible.
And in recognition of the huge number of submissions for WIFF 2008, we also intend to broaden the awards' remit to ensure those with a role outside the director's chair are also recognised. These will be for best actor, actress, cinematography, lighting, and all the other things that go into film-making.
In keeping with the tradition of WIFF 2008 all contributions will be entered for free. There will also be no entrance fee, as we believe it should be a celebration for all film-makers on the Wirral.
Vesbim are also proud to announce that The Wirral International Film Festival 2009 will be sponsored by Out the Bag Productions.

Questo anno il Festival Internazionale del Cinema di Wirral è estesa fino ad includere tutte le altre nostre città gemellate di tutto il mondo che sono Midland Texas USA, Lorient, in Francia, Gennevilliers in Francia e in Provincia di Latina in Italia.
Lo scorso novembre, film-makers e film frequentatori disceso sulla Birkenhead's Queens Hotel per una celebrazione di filmati, con contributi provenienti da tutta battenti nel Wirral e anche lontani come Latina in Italia.
Quest'anno abbiamo deciso di eseguire il Fesival oltre cinque giorni, anziché quattro, con i precedenti staring volte per spremere il più contenuto possibile.
E in riconoscimento del grande numero di domande di WIFF 2008, abbiamo anche intenzione di ampliare il premio 'mandato al fine di garantire quelli con un ruolo al di fuori del direttore della cattedra sono anche riconosciute. Questi saranno per il miglior attore, attrice, fotografia, l'illuminazione, e tutte le altre cose che vanno in film-making.
In linea con la tradizione di tutti i contributi WIFF 2008 saranno iscritti gratuitamente. Ci sarà anche senza biglietto d'ingresso, in quanto riteniamo che dovrebbe essere una festa per tutti i film-maker sul Wirral.

Oui! Il est de retour pour la deuxième année. Plus grand, meilleur et plus de récompenses pour tous.
Cette année, le Festival International du Film de Wirral s'est élargie pour inclure toutes les autres villes jumelées à travers le monde qui sont Midland Texas USA, Lorient en France, Gennevilliers, en France et la province de Latina, en Italie.
Novembre dernier, les réalisateurs et cinéastes amateurs Birkenhead descendu sur Queens Hotel pour une fête du cinéma, avec des contributions de l'ensemble de vol en Wirral, et même aussi loin que Latina, en Italie.
Cette année, nous avons décidé de lancer le Fesival plus de cinq jours, au lieu de quatre, avec des temps de démarrage plus tôt de tirer le plus de contenu possible.
Et en reconnaissance de l'immense nombre de soumissions pour WIFF 2008, nous avons également l'intention d'élargir le prix «mission de veiller à ce ceux qui ont un rôle à l'extérieur de la chaise du réalisateur sont également reconnus. Ce sera pour le meilleur acteur, actrice de cinéma, de l'éclairage, et tous les autres choses qui se passent en cinéma.
Conformément à la tradition de WIFF 2008, toutes les contributions seront inscrits gratuitement. Il y aura également pas de frais d'entrée, comme nous pensons qu'elle doit être une fête pour tous les réalisateurs sur le Wirral.

We are having a screening of the documentary,
titled "W.I.F.F OF SUCCESS" that was filmed over the week of the "film festival". It is being shown on the 30th of May 2009 at the Queens Hotel 7.30pm. Everyone that had taken part in the festival (film-makers, cast and crew etc) is in it. It is a very positive film that we hope will appeal to sponsors and the like. You are more than welcome to bring anyone to see it. You will also be able to find out what is happening with this years festival as it is going to be bigger and better. This could also be a great opportunity to network.
